Everything You Need To Know About OWN Token Project
What is OWN?
OWN is an ERC-20 cryptocurrency token (a token on the Ethereum blockchain) that aims to decentralize and bring a disruptive change in the fields of philanthropy, relief funding, startup funding, scientific research, etc. Our aim is to help the destitute, as well as promote new ideas and help socially relevant research come to fruition.
Where did it all begin?
OWN Token was founded by a team of 7 founding members in April 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic, and its far-reaching socioeconomic ramifications stirred the team’s heart, and so they worked tirelessly day and night to create OWN Token.
How has it been going?
To be completely transparent, it has been going both good and bad. On the one hand, we have more than 40,000 members and followers on all our social channels combined, including Telegram, Discord, Reddit, Twitter, etc. Our core team is also 21 members strong, and we have members both in India and abroad. On the other hand, we have also been the victims of scams by unscrupulous players like Flame Exchange. To top it all off, there has been a lot of misunderstanding and FUD in the Indian cryptocurrency community, and many people have been quick to call our project a scam, despite us having nothing but the noblest of intentions.
Where to next?
Our first public sale (IEO) is going to take place on VinDAX Exchange (a well-known and reputable Vietnamese exchange) from November 1st, 2020 onwards. Following this, we’re launching two initiatives, o-ABC (Online Academy of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency) as well as DonCha (Donation Challenge), to revolutionize and decentralize both blockchain/cryptocurrency education and philanthropy. By Q4 2021, we plan to be listed in major cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide.
Why should you care?
If your intention is to only get rich and not share this wealth with the needy, OWN is probably not the project for you. On the other hand, if you want to make a social impact and contribute to the betterment of society, you should definitely consider the OWN Token as a worthy investment. In 2010, you could buy a single iPhone 4 for around 9000 BTC. Today, having 9000 BTC would make you a very rich man or woman.
